Message	instructor, and go slowly until you feel more comfortable. Gradually add speed as you learn the track and your car's capabilities. As for the helmet, certainly bring your "M" helmet, but we'll have a few extras incase they don't allow the M style. You can use one of them for sure if that's the make or break you for going to the track event.
